Located in Groslay, Val d’Oise, France, 15km north of Paris, Le Couvent-Loft is an impressive contemporary loft apartment which is part of the old Chateau of Groslay. Rich with history, this apartment was once a music room and dance hall in 1769 created by Joséphine, wife of Napoleon Bonaparte. Joséphine’s first husband Alexandre de Beauharnais inherited the chateau. In 1950, Sisters Servant of Mary acquired the property and turned the old dance hall into a convent.
This interesting loft apartment design with a sense of being on a boat lets you dream about the open seas. The nautical theme extends to every room with portal windows, wood flooring and captain bar stools in the open kitchen. Located by the Thames in London, England, the apartment has a great view of the financial district across the river from its rooftop terrace.

The apartment design includes a two-storey high cathedral window and skylights which allow plenty of natural light to spread through the entire loft.
The Collector’s Loft, located in Greenwich Village in Manhattan, New York is a gallery and apartment loft all in one. The gently flowing curved walls create hybrid zones where the living areas and exhibition areas meet. The exhibition walls also blend gently with the library shelves. Designed by UNStudio, the architect used floor to ceiling glass panels to frame the compelling views of Manhattan. This loft design unifies art and city living, creating the ultimate modern interior space.
Designer Vicente Wolf bought a loft in an old office building on the edge of Manhattan and turned it into a stylish residential loft. Pipes and sprinklers of the original industrial space are still visible, Wolf feels the raw quality is what makes a loft special. Each piece of furniture stands on its own. In an unconventional space, the designer wants an unconventional arrangement of furniture. The sense of space is played up, only the bedroom and bath have sliding doors. The continuity of the open space is enhanced by white walls, ceilings and floors.
This unique loft in a classic landmark 1840’s house in Buenos Aires is a two-storey apartment in a bohemian neighbourhood. The modern loft maintains the original brick walls which blend naturally with the tasteful contemporary style decor.
